About Us

Although Solihull is one of the richest boroughs in the country, it also has some of the greatest levels of inequality. Too many people scrape by on poverty wages; too many of our young people have to leave Solihull to find affordable housing. Public services have been in decline. Many of our elderly are isolated and lonely. Solihull deserves better.

The way that communities are rallying to support each other during the Covid-19 crisis shows that many people agree that there is a need for #FairDealSolihull and that we must rebuild in a way that puts people and communities before profit. If you agree, please get involved in our campaigns and activities.

I am fortunate enough to have lived in Solihull for over 20 years. Having lived elsewhere in the UK and overseas I can certainly appreciate what Solihull has to offer.

Being a year into early retirement I am now able to devote more time to voluntary activities –some new, and some which I’ve been involved with for many years. Whilst Solihull is a great place to live, it’s not perfect and faces its own share of both petty and violent crime as well as the irritations of the state of our roads and pavements. We are a wealthy borough so there is a lot we can achieve locally without breaking the bank. To do that, we need at the very least some effective opposition to the Tory dominated council.
