Flo has lived locally with her husband Alan for over 40 years. She knows and understands local people and their needs. She has been a Parish Councillor for over 20 years and has represented Kinghurst and Fordbridge as a Borough Councillor since 2012. She served as Mayor of Solihull in 2018/19. Flo has been a strong voice for this area and is a great champion for a ‘Fair Deal For North Solihull’.
Flo is appalled by the way the Tories divide our country by decimating and privatising our essential public services whilst making our economy one increasingly based on low pay and zero-hours contracts. The rich are getting richer whilst the vast majority of us are getting poorer or at best standing still.
Flo believes that only Labour provides a real alternative. Labour’s alternative includes:
- Defending OUR National Health Service and other public services
- Meeting the housing needs of our young people
- Stopping Tory ‘forced’ academisation (privatisation!) of primary schools
- Ensuring that Solihull Council becomes a ‘real’ Living Wage employer and encourages other Solihull employers to do the same.
