Although Solihull is one of the richest boroughs in the country, it also has some of the greatest levels of inequality. Too many people scrape by on poverty wages; too many of our young people have to leave Solihull to find affordable housing. Public services have been in decline. Many of our elderly are isolated and lonely. Solihull deserves better.
The way that communities are rallying to support each other during the Covid-19 crisis shows that many people agree that there is a need for #FairDealSolihull and that we must rebuild in a way that puts people and communities before profit. If you agree, please get involved in our campaigns and activities.
Born and raised in Solihull and now living in Meriden, Sam has a keen understanding of the issues affecting local residents and will work hard to make our area better.
Sam runs a successful logistics operation with a budget of over two million pounds and with over fifty employees. This gives him experience of solving real work problems with practical solutions, and grounds him.
As well as his experience of the business world, Sam has also worked in Westminster, gaining insight into how to get things done in the world of politics.
Sam is standing as a candidate in Meriden for the first time because he believes our local area is at a crossroads. The Tories have taken our area for granted and failed to invest in what matters to us, while increasing our council tax.
