I live in Shirley West with my young family and I am proud to stand again as your candidate for Council at the local elections. I am determined to help Shirley West become an even better ward than it currently is. Being a resident of the ward like you means we share the same concerns, and living in the ward day to day means I am ideally placed, if elected to council, to represent us from a place of real influence.

In the past I have helped local schools, supported local homeless people and helped residents with a range of concerns – from traffic speed to housing to mental health worries.

But there’s more to achieve. If elected:

  1. I will serve the whole ward and not just around the High Street. It’s more than just the shopping areas that need support.
  2. I will work for increased focus on mental health and wellbeing across the ward. COVID has heightened this disparity between the well off and the less fortunate.
  3. I will strive to help strengthen public safety and lower crime. A quick glance at social media proves this is still a blight on Solihull.
  4. I will leave no stone unturned and work with local residents and businesses alike to improve our environment. Our children’s future depends on this.
  5. I will defend our younger people and fight for a fairer and affordable housing system. We risk our younger people leaving Shirley without affordable housing.
