Teresa has lived in Meriden constituency for over 20 years, and was the parliamentary candidate for Labour in December 2019.

She has devoted the whole of her adult life to serving her community, as a teacher and a local campaigner. She still does some teaching and is a school governor.

Teresa believes in a FAIR DEAL FOR NORTH SOLIHULL and is calling for:

  • special grants for local schools based on the number of disadvantaged children;
  • better local facilities and support for senior citizens;
  • better local transport services;
  • an end to double standards in environmental protection – you shouldn’t be expected to accept things that wouldn’t be allowed in wealthier parts of Solihull;
  • better local health care services, especially for those with mental health problems;
  • special job creation and training schemes.

This is just a starting point. Teresa will be a strong voice for Smith’s Wood in the Council Chamber. She pledges to:

  • be an outspoken and committed representative;
  • fight for better opportunities for you and your family;
  • consult with you and work with local organisations.

IF YOU WANT A COUNCILLOR WHO PUTS SMITH’S WOOD FIRST, VOTE TERESA BEDDIS ON MAY 6TH.
